Long ago in England people believed in witches and they were afraid of them. There were witch trials, in 1690 in the village of Castringham Mrs Mothersole was acused to be a witch. A man called Sir Matthew Fell, who lived in a big house with gardens and many old tres said that Mrs Mothersole was a witch and the court believed in him.
ReplyDeleteHe said that he saw Mrs Mothersole many times in his gardens wearing nightdress and carried a knife, when he tried to catch her, she heard Matthew and she had gone. The Mrs Mothersole’s Friends tried to save her but Mrs Mothersole was hanged by the neck but before that, she said to Matthew ‘’There will be guests at Castringham Hall’’.
A few days later Sir Matthew and his friend Mr Crome were walking in the garden at night and Sir Matthew saw an animal running up the ash tree. The next morning Sir Matthew was dead in his bed, his skin was black, the doctor studied carefully but he found nothing strange in it. Sir Matthew had a bible and he had written: ‘’Cut the ash tree’’ ‘’No one should live here’’.
About fifty years later, Sir Matthew’s grandson, Sir Richard, came lo live at Castringham, they wanted to build on some land next to the church, there was the bones of witches and criminals and the people was excited to see the bones of the famous witch Mrs Mothersole but when they looked inside it was empty. Days later Sir Richard decided to sleep in the room of his grandfather Sir Matthew, in those Days Sir Richard had a dinner with his Friends, something strange was happening in this house, he said his Friends that he listened noises at night in his room.
The next morning, the housekeeper found Sir Richard in his bed, dead and black, the guests and servants looked up the ash tree, a white cat screaming sat there, they decided to go out and someone said that they should see inside the ash tree. One of the servants climbed up and looked inside with a lantern but he could not speak a word. Suddenly smoke came out of the ash tree and then it was on fire, spiders began to run and came out of the ash tree the gardeners killed them with their spades.
After they moved closer to the ash tree and looked inside, there was a large hole and there was a human body, it was a woman’s body. She had been dead about fifty years.

Everything started when a man walked and suddenly a letter fell on his feet. He picked up the letter, it was an ordinary letter, it was written in a brown ink so strange.
He read the letter, it said, that a girl was locked in the room at the top of the white house, that she needed him to help her, but he might not go to the door, because her aunt could kill her, so he might climb until arrive to the window.
In that moment he thought that he was very old to do that kind of things and he had a bad leg.
He remembered that when he was young he climbed until arrive to the window of his girlfriend. He remembered too, that she had a bad sister who made that they broke up the relationship.
Then he went where his son was and he showed the letter to him and He was excited about it and he motivated him to save that woman.
His son was so agile, and that night he climbed to the window but it had metal bars, so he had to brake it. While he was in that, his father who was next to the door he saw that somebody got closed to the bedroom, he did not think about his hurt leg and he quickly climbed to the window but it was so late, because she was already there, she was crazy, and she threatened to kill her.
They achieved to break the last bar and they jumped into, the old man took the crazy woman to her arms, so he could see the girl she was so beautiful and she looked like his ex-girlfriend when she was seventeen years old, he was surprised.
The crazy woman tried to escape from him, she was so tired, so she decided to jump through the window, and she died.
So the old man asked to girl about her mother and when she said who she was, he realized that she was her lover’s daughter, her parents had died and she went to live with her aunt, the mad woman, but it was her worst decision.
Finally, she sold her aunt’s house and she studied in Italy with that money. Besides the old man realized that the brown ink was blood of the girl.

COMMENT.
The previous story is so spooky but it is amused.
I liked it, because it included blood and the story was very curious, too, because it had several mysteries for example that a mad woman have locked a girl just for that she does not marry.

It is a story that took place long ago somewhere in North America, it all starts in a cemetery where Henry Armstrong was buried, but he did not believe that he is dead, he was sick, like sick people, those who lose their spirits , So he decided to sleep.
Near his tomb were 3 men, two of them medical students, the other a large man working in the cemetery making holes for the tombs, watering the flowers and cutting the grass.
It was a very dark night, as there had never been a night; The students needed a body for their medical practices, it was not difficult to unearth Henry's tomb because the earth had been set a few hours earlier, so it was easy to remove the wooden coffin.
However, the storm was on its way, when they uncovered the coffin. Henry stood up suddenly and frightened the three young men who were digging up the coffin, each one ran in different directions.
The next day the two students were pale with fright, when they entered the building they saw that in the back was a carriage with a horse, then appeared Jess who was the cemetery worker and smiling said: "I am waiting for me Money "and handed them Henry's dead body that someone had hit him with a spade in the head.
commentary.
Is an excellent story that makes the reader with a concern at the end of the story, is very well structured and makes us all imagine the place in which the author develops the story
THE TRIAL FOR MURDER
ReplyDeleteIn the year 1865 this story was in all newspapers of london ”body found in a bedroom”. I was working in a banc when I was called to sit on a jury at the old bailey london’s central court.
But my real story started some days before. I was reading the newspaper in my house when for a second I had a vision of the bedroom where happened the crime. I stayed in my flat but I went to the window for some fresh air.
I was seeing the street when I saw two peculiar men who were walking in the street, the first man had an evil look on his face and the second one looked like a ghost but nobody else in the street could see them.
Some weeks later the police caught a man and sent him to a trial, by those days, in one night I was standing in my bedroom , when I saw the second man while he was opening my bathroom’s door, he just looked at me and then he disappeared.
The next morning I received a letter where they called me to the court to sit on jury. After, when the trial started I saw that the prisoner was the first man in the street and without some reason he did not want me on the jury.
The trial lasted ten days; in these days I could see the second man many times in the jury, for example one night all members of the jury had dreamed of the murdered man, or sometimes he came close to the witnesses and he made to change their versions. Also the fifth day he said me “I was younger then and I still had blood in my body”, nobody else in the room heard or saw the man but me.
When the trial ended , the prisoner was declared guilty and I saw that the ghost of the murdered man had gone, also the prisoner said that when he saw me he knew that his life was over because he saw me in a dream putting a rope around his neck.
COMMENT:
About this story I like the supernaturals situation that the narrador have to live, because those paranormal phenomena are really intricate and make to increase your interest in the story resulting the reading in an addictive activity.
The tell - tale heart.
ReplyDeleteThis is an amazing story of an excellent poet called Edgar Allan Poe. He have a big collection of horror stories that in my personal opinion are the best ones. In this opportunity I’m going to tell you this one. A young man was live in an old man’s house but there was something in that old man that he didn’t like. He began to think in strange things but he didn’t know why because the old man was a very good person and he was always very kind with him. The old man was have a light blue eye but it was cloudy like milk and his eye made the young man feel strange. He taught that he had to kill the old man but he wasn’t thinking that he was mad because he planned everything in his mind and he was having an excellent treat with the old man. During a week, the young man visited the old man’s room every night with a lamp but he couldn’t see the evil eye so he didn’t kill him. On the eighth night he got in to the old’s man room, he was very calmed but that night the old man was awake. The old man asked: “Who is there?” but the young man didn’t make any noise. Then he listened the old man very scared and his heart was beating too hard. He turn on the light and he listened a noise louder than before. Bang bang bang! The young man jumped in to the room and the old man screamed but just once. His heart was slowly stopping until it didn’t beat anymore. The old man was dead and he wait some minutes to be sure. He thought that he wasn’t mad and he pulled up part of the floor and put there the body. He finished at 4 am and he was calmed but the police arrived there because the neighbors was calling them, they said that they heard a scream. He said them that he was have a bad dream and the old man was out of the country. The police walk around the house and they believed his story. They were sitting in the room drinking tea but the young man listened a banging noise and it didn’t stop. The noise became louder and louder and LOUDER! Finally the young man screamed: Yes, I did it! He pulled up the floor again and he said: Here! Look he is here! Listen, his horrible heart is beating!
COMMENT:
I love the Edgar Allan Poe poems, his stories always bribg me scary emotions that made me love this kind of books. In this story the part that I like the most is when he begin to listen the heart beating of the old man, because I think that he was going mad after kill him. He was quiet when the police arrives but his head betrayed him and finally he accepted his crime and show the body in the floor.

This is a story of a man who tells his own story and how he has to went through a lot of issues when his father died, due to they used to have a lot of money and he has no profession and also he didn't work, so the money its over.
The name of the man was Marshall king, one day when he was his expensive room that of course he couldn't pay he heard that one of his cousin from brazil had returned to England and that he bought a country house, Marshall heard that he was very generous so he didn't hesitate on asking him to help him.
So they finally meet and also when marshal arrives had a lot of issues with te wife of his cousin, she has very jealous of Marshall, she had an attitude very unfriendly and of course Everard notice and talk to ver, and then she apologize with Marshall.
After that Everard invited Marshall to see his Zoo, and of course he presented his lovely Brazilian cat. When they came in to the room Marshall saw a very large black cat lay in the center of the room, his cousin tell him that he bought it when he was three weeks old. And of course this "cats" are very dangerous and also his favorite snack are humans. But the animal hasn't tasted a man's blood. But Marshall could notice that when Everard came in to the room the animal was very quiet.
Marshall stayed with Everard for six days Even he gave a cheque to Marshall. Before Marshall leave the house they went to see the animal for a last time, but Everard had a plan, he wanted to kill Marshall, he lock out Marshall in the same room as the cat and leave him all night, Marshall was very afraid he thought that maybe that would be his last day alive, that of course this animal kill him. He tried many things to scape of this room but nothing was possible, Marshall only wanted that the sun came in and maybe That would help him a little bit. At a moment he tried to scape climbing the cage but unfortunately the animal bit one of the leg or Marshall, in that moment the thought that maybe he could died right there, after that he fell out to the ground and stay there for a couple of minutes, but suddenly his cousin, Everard appeared in one of the Window and he looked very happy and he congratulate to the animal, but Marshall was still alive when he heard how the animal attacked Everard and he finally kill him.
After a few days Marshall was on the hospital when the wife of Everard visited him, and told him that his attitude was because she knew that he wanted to kill him. And she tries to tell that to Marshall. After that Marshall talk with his lawyer and he said that his uncle died and now he had all his money but for surprise his uncle died the same day that he was on the room with the animal. Also he asked to his lawyer that if the would died that day who would be the person that received the money of his uncle, and the name of the person was Everard king.
