* Imagine you are trying to persuade a foreign visitor that one of these places is "the world's best city, considering: a) a town/city you know well, b) your town/city.
2. Write a creative composition (50 sentences at least), considering all the proposed items in the mentioned activity (language focus) and the use of quantifiers with countable and uncountable nouns.

Let´s start saying that montevideo is the capital of URUGUAY. Urugay have one of the best presidents of all time, And this is JOSE MUJICA or like some people call him "PEPE", is considered as the poorest president, due to he donate the 90% of his salary to the people who need it. And of course being the capital of uruguay the quality is the best.
Now I am going to give you some amazings facts to live in MONTEVIDEO:
1. They have a LAY and FREE education.
2. The marriege between people of the same gender is legal
3. Also de marihuana.
4. The abortion is legal too.
5. In mmontevideo you can find a lot of fairs, where you can find clothes, books, vegetables and fruits.
6. They have "LA RAMBLA" that basically is a big avenue with more than 22 km that surround the coast of "RIO DE LA PLATA". And where they hanging out with friends, drink something, go for a walk or they just sit down and see the landscape.
7. An advantage of montevideo is that is a small city and you can go to different places walking or maybe in a bike.
8. Is the perfect combination between old buildings and Nature, you can visit a lot of places and relaxed, like: "PARQUE BATLLE", "PLAZA INDEPENDENCIA" and "LIBER SEREGNI".
9. There are a big gastronomy variety, you can find Italian food, japanese, mexican, chinese and of course the typical of MONTEVIDEO.
10. The "CONCURSO OFICIAL DE CARNAVAL" takes place in te city, nights full of theater, music, and of course food are the placer of a lot of uruguayans.
11. You definitely have to taste: "TORTAS FRITAS", "CHURROS" and the famous "DULCE DE LECHE". You can find this in the streets is very common see this.
12. Montevideo is very calm, the people there are very gentle. Living there is very relaxed.

Because it is a city that has a spectacular water wealth, it has one of the largest and most beautiful bridges of Colombia, there is celebrated the summer festival the first week of January, during this celebration the visitors and people there, participate in a Which basically consists of taking a tire of a properly inflated tire, then going to a point called the cable, where each family enters to the river and launches for 5 or 6 hours to cross a part of the river bed.
When it reaches the final destination that is a point called puerto caldas, the activities are too many to do, there are beach volleyball, beach soccer, camper cross, motocross, there are concerts of artists invited by the mayoralty of national and sometimes international size, Gastronomy is exquisite and very traditional, because the idea is to show a little of our culture so that the people of the interior know it and become part of it.
In addition to these sports there are some more traditional ones like: coleo, flat work among others.

ReplyDeleteAustralia is one of the most remote countries in the world and, ironically, one of the most popular places to visit, especially among backpackers and budget travelers. Because of its distance from South America not many people tend to visit Australia, but it’s a beautiful and colorful country with a lot of places you can visit, a lot of good restaurants and a lot of people you can meet, I’ll show you some reason to love Australia and I’m sure you’ll want to go:
1. The Great Barrier Reef: One of the most famous reef systems in the world, the Great Barrier Reef is world well known for its abundance of marine life and world-class diving opportunities. There are a lot of animals like turtles, sharks, vibrant coral, and beautiful fishes.
2. Sydney: Known for its famed opera house and harbor, Sydney also has a lot of boasts an incredible bridge there a lots of great parks, delicious food, there are lots of free stuff to do, and amazing surfing. Is a place to relax and enjoy the water.
3. Uluru: It’s a giant round rock that cover 8 km of land and visitor can scale it. The rock has a bid quantity of iron that produce amazing red and orange shades during sunrise and sunset.
4. Barbecue: One of my favorite activities in Australia is the barbecue, because it’s a tradition there and in the parks and public areas you’ll always find barbecue pits. You can have a good time drinking some beers and eating kangaroo meat.
5. Wine: In Australia, there are many wine regions in which you’ll find a lot of types of wines, especially Shiraz and pinot noir. You can spend an entire day visiting a vineyard and tasting this delicious wine, but be careful because you can get drunk.
6. Western Australia: It’s a beautiful place to visit, it has big white sand beaches, too much people didn’t go there and that’s amazing because it could finish like the east coast with a lot of people and overbuilt.
7. Karijini National Park: Is the Australia’s second largest park with 627,422 hectares. There you’ll find a very beautiful climate because it’s tropical and semi – dessert. If you are an animal lover, don’t worry! It has a lot of different animals like: red kangaroos, wallaroos, echidnas, geckos, bats, lizards and a big number of birds and snakes.
8. Surfing: Australia is one of the best places to surfing and it is part of the Australian culture now. In the east coast there are many places where you can catch a lot of good waves. One of the best places to go is Noosa because there are waves for professionals and beginners.

Beautiful Beaches: Also in Australia you’ll find a lot of beautiful beaches where you can take a rest, relax yourself, swim, etc. Australia has over 50.000 km of coastline so it’s impossible that you didn’t find one. Some of the most beautiful ones are: Coral bay, Cable beach, Noosa, Manly and any beach in Perth.
10. Lush Jungles: Queensland is an amazing tropical place in which you’ll find one of the oldest continuous tropical rainforest in the world. You can do a lot of fun activities like hiking or swimming, but you have to be careful with wildlife because you can find a crocodile swimming next to you!
I think its amazing if you could visit a beautiful country like this with beautiful flora and fauna and a lot of activities to enjoy and spend time with family and friends.
CHARALA
ReplyDeleteCharala is a natural Paradise, your best photos and videos are in charala.
Charala has a lot of places and it is a little bit big, you can find the church and it is called “nuestra señora de mongui” There is a museum called “Jose Acevedo y Gomez” here people do cultural events and importants mettings, in the museum you can find historical objects. In the center there is the most important place of my town, it is the park, it is like a forest, because there are many trees, and big palms and plants.
But charala has 2 parks. One of them is called “la plazuela”. It is located two streets down. Here there are a lot of pigeons, next to the “plazuela” you can find “el polideportivo” where you can practice sports, Charala has a bullring, where you can see the bullfight and differents cultural events. You can find another place where you can practice sports, too, it is called the “apícola” it is located a Little bit far of the town.
Now i am going to tell you about the natural places. There are a lot of water Wells like: lajas, negro, and gallo. In charala there is a natural sledge, where you can enjoy with your family, and you can take many pictures, and you can enjoy its warm waters.
Charala has the flora and fauna sanctuary “guanenta” it is limited with Boyaca, it is considered a natural reserve. You find water falls like: angel and sagrada de claliz. Charala has caves called virgen, cacique and salitre. In those places you can practice speleology with esperencied guides.
Now, i am giong to tell you about the cultural events like festival of retorno, las galaneadas, the competitions of neugatas and the national competition of tiple and the most important event is fairs and parties, here You can enjoy a night flight by hot air balloon and the 31st of December is celebrated the festival of carrancios where the poblation enjoy the showed of dolls on the streets and they used foam and water and flour.
Furthermore, Charala has comfortables hotels and restaurants. They offer tipical food, and there are cabins and spas for all kinds of likes.
It is just an example of all that you can find in our Historic and captivating land.
